All On 4/6 Implant Dundee

Dental implants are substitute tooth roots made from biocompatible titanium that can provide a permanent remedy for gaps in your smile. Here at Scottish Dental Implants, we offer multiple implant-based treatments for individual teeth and for patients with very few or none of their own teeth remaining. Implants sit within the jaw and a crown, bridge or denture is screwed in comfortably over the top.

Implant dentist Dr Sheham Gamal has a 98.5% success rate when placing implants and is happy to take on complex cases including full mouth rehabilitation. Dr Sheham believes in using only the most pioneering brands such as Straumann implants, a brand underpinned by decades of research and innovation.

frequently asked questions

What is All-on-4/6 implants?

This implant method uses as few as 4 or 6 implants to fix a whole row of teeth in position. The specific angled placement of these implants optimises the parts of the jawbone with the most volume, so if you have previously been rejected for implant treatment due to lack of jaw volume, this treatment may be suitable for you.

Is it possible to have same-day implants?

All-on-4/6 implants are also known as ‘same-day implants’ as once your implants have been placed, you will be able to walk away with a whole new set of temporary teeth. If you have been putting off having tooth replacement treatment due to being anxious about living with no teeth, All-on-4/6 may be the ideal solution for you. At no stage during the treatment journey will you need to live with gaps in your smile.

How long do implants last?

The biggest threat to implants is peri-implantitis (the equivalent of gum disease but for implants). Make sure you regularly attend hygienist and dentist appointments and avoid gum disease-causing habits like smoking to prolong the life of your implant. With the correct care, implants can be permanent, though your crown, bridge or dentures will need to be replaced every 10-20 years.
